Ammonia was synthesized with cathode catalyzer and proton exchange membrane (Nafion membrane and Sulfonated Polysulfon (SPSF)) at atmospheric pressure and low temperature in this parper. The performance of ammonia synthesis about two kinds of proton exchange membranes was contrasted about data.In experimental section, the precursor of composite oxide anode (NiO-Ce0.8Sm0.2O2-δ) and cathode materials (SmFe0.7Cu0.3-xNixO3,Sm1.5Sr0.5MO3) was synthesized by the gol-gel method, and the elementary proportions of those cathode framework are vary or they contain different elementary. Then they were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD),transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Polysulfon(PSF) and Sulfonated Polysulfon(SPSF) were synthesized and characterized by the IR spectra.Ammonia was synthesized with cathode catalyzer and proton exchange membrane (Nafion membrane and Sulfonated Polysulfon (SPSF)) at atmospheric pressure and low temperature. When using SmFe0.7Cu0.3-xNixO3 as cathode, the highest rates of evolution of ammonia are up to 1.13×10-8 mol·cm-2·s-1 at 80℃and 2V. When using SmFe0.7Cu0.3-xNixO3 as cathode, the highest rates of evolution of ammonia are up to 1.05×10-8 mol·cm-2·s-1 at 80℃and 2.5V.Ammonia was synthesized from nitrogen and natural gas at atmospheric pressure and low temperature in a single cell reactor by electrochemical methods. The optimum temperature and voltage and the potential factor are studied as the function of rates of ammonia synthesis in this paper.
