Bearing retainer windows' clearance is one of the most important parameters which infect the working performance of rolling bearings. The value of the windows' clearance affects the bearings' statement of movement and stress directly. If the value is too large it will less stationeriness. Especially, the problem of the first and the last windows' width difference value is larger than others, and that will produce extra impact loads. So it is important to make sure the windows' width is reasonable.Nowadays, during the production processing of bearing retainer, we use the manual sampling inspection to measure the width of the windows with low efficiency. In order to improve this situation, we need to research an efficient, stabilization, exactitude and automatic system of retainer windows' equal division accuracy measurement pressingly.This paper developed a system of automatic equal division precision measurement with digital camera and imaging analysis system to recognize the line automatically. This system got higher precision and more automatization, and it provides feasible online measurement.Our system based on this and using plenty of image process and analysis technology adequately, and also use PLC to control rotary table to carry out the equal division measurement. During this process, we adopt the new way of sub-pixel orientation. Then according to the variation of the edges' gray level is Gaussian curve, we use the conic to replace the Gaussian curve in order to improve the computation speed. With hardware' s cost steady, we not only fitting the windows' edge extremely, but also improve the measurement precision. It is worth to be used in the production of bearing retainer.
