To boost the practical course of Optical Current Transducer(OCT) in electric power system,this paper which is the improvement works based on Adaptive Optical Current Transducer,presents a new method which combines the lock-in amplifier in slight photo-electric signal detection with a new higher stability sensor.It has improved extremely the long-term stability of OCT by using the optical structure on solenoid collecting magnetic field in Magneto-Optic Sensors and shortening the length of magneto-optical materials.This paper uses the method of combining OCT with traditional CT and adopting Lock-in Amplifier in signal processing system to improve the metering accuracy in the steady state and the transient state.The paper introduces the design proposal of solenoid magnetic concentrating optical sensing head and the detecting method of OCT.The signal processing system was simulated based on a LabVIEW virtual instrument platform,and we did experiments about the measurement program.The results of simulation and experiment indicated that the output SNR and the metering accuracy of this kind of OCT had been improved immensely.
