Conductive asphalt concrete pavement plays an important role in snowmelt and decing,security monitoring and intelligent management.It's have broad application prospect.As the traditional,Most of the Conductive Asphalt Concrete is to add Graphite or carbon fibre and so on in the asphalt.To increase it's conductivity.For the aggregate occupy most of the asphalt concreate is not have contribute in increase it's conductivity.Oppositely,It also breaking part of conductivity network.This thesis provides a new way to make conductive asphalt concrete,because of the steel slag have conductive,We can use it as the aggregate and add some graphite to make conductive asphalt concrete.Have a systematic on the composition of material, conductivity,pavement performance,electrothermal finite element simulation, snowmelt and decing test and conductive mechanism of Steel slag and Graphite conductive asphalt concrete(SGCAC)The main work and important achievement of this paper is as follows:Analysis the characteristics of different asphalt concrete structure,Proposes that SMA is a suitable gradation for SGCAC.Design the reasonable gradation of SGCAC.Obtain the optimum asphalt content by marshall method.The paper researches the changes of electrical resistivity of SSCAC under different content of slag,Then a comparative analysis of different content of slag between SSCAC which is made of slag as coarse aggregates and CAC which is made of basalt rock.Furthermore the paper researches the stability of the electrical resistivity of SSCAC when the time,temperature or stress changes and the effect of conductive ability when the steel slag corroded in the SSCAC.The result approves that the SSCAC meet the requirement of performance in snow melt.By means of the design philosophy of SMA.We use the steel slag as the aggregate at all.Munufacture the SGCAC whitch the resistivity is less than five ohms per meter and also have excellent pavement performance and favorable electrical resistance stability.Greatly reduce the manufacturing cost of SGCAC.And the outdoor snowmelt test prove the feasibility of snowmelt and decing by using of SGCAC. Reseach on the Marshall stability of SGCAC in different Graphite mixing amount.Adopting two kinds of test of residual stability and freeze thaw cleavage strength,the paper analyzes the water stability of SGCAC.Study on the high temperature stability of SGCAC by the way of rutting test.Manufacture the SGCAC meets the requirements of pavement performance successfully.The temperature field model of SGCAC is built,ANSYS is used to analyze the electric effect temperature distribution of SGCAC under constant temperature,and the ANSYS results are compared with the the actual test results.The thawing function of the conductive block is researched in the open filed.The research results show that when the graphite content is 25%,resistivity is less than 5Ω.m,and voltage is 36V the ice will be thawed totally during 43min.The conductive mechanism of SGCAC is researched by the SEM test together with the conductive mechanism of composite materials via the ohm characteristic test. The results show that SGCAC also has three kinds of conductive mechanism like that of composite materials which are conducting channel,tunneling effect and field emission effect.There are more connective conductive channel in SGCAC than that in ordinary particle graphite conductive asphalt concrete.
