The asphalt concrete has been widely applied to the airport runways, highway and road and bridge surfacing layer. Asphalt mixture belongs to an insulator materials with a resistivity of 107-109 Q·m.The electrical properties of the asphalt mixture can be significantly improved through adding proper conductive phase materials, thus a asphalt concrete of a certain electric properties can be obtained. Conductive asphalt concrete (CAC) used in snow -melting and deicing has the advantages such as no traffic interruption, snow- melting and deicing timely and environmental friendly, which will have a great impact on the asphalt pavement winter snow melting and deicing. In this paper, CAC with superior way-use performance and electrical performance has been prepared by the continuous mixture proportion such as AC-13 designing aggregate sizes, Optimization choosing asphalt content, adding conductive phase materials such as graphite, carbon fiber and steel slag. Research on its resistivity changes with the admixture of adding the different conductive phase materials into the CAC, the results are analyzed and compared. Resistivity testing results show that the addition of graphite improves eleetrical conduetivity of asphalt mixture much more than addition of carbon fiber, and steel slag appears to be the worst; Conductive effect can be improved significantly by mixing two or more conductive phase materials, graphite can serve as main conductive material, using carbon fiber larger length-diameter ratio with conductive role of bridge and conductive pathways short-circuited role, add a bit carbon fiber as auxiliary conductive material, at the same time use the steel slag instead of partial aggregate can perform an enhanced effect.Research on the Marshall stability of graphite conductive asphalt concrete (GCAC) in different graphite mixing amount. Through the saturated soaking remnants stability test, GCAC water stability is studied. By rutting test of GCAC, its high temperature stability properties is studied. Test results can satisfy the standard requirements, GCAC can be used as a new pavement materials. Through the establishment of GCAC temperature field of the finite element model, ANSYS is used to analyze the Electric effect temperature distribution of GCAC under constant temperature, and the ANSYS results are compared with the actual test results and the results through the caculation of the energy conservation theory, which verify the reliability of the finite element method. Then through the finite element calculation, different environmental factors on conductive asphalt concrete snowmelt deicing effect are analysed.
