Automation system of substation is an automatic system that monitors the applications of the substation at real-time by applying computer and communication technology.It integrates microcomputer relay protection,measurement,control and remote communication technology to monitor and manage all aspects of the substation.With the rapid development of computer,communication and control technology,power-automation technique has also obtained speedy development.The wide use of power electronics and non-linear equipment,more attentions have been paid to the quality of power system.By real-time measuring,monitoring and analyzing the power parameters,people can take further steps to improve the safety and stability of power supply and it has great significance.Firstly,this paper introduces the development and researching states of automation system of substation both domestic and overseas.And this paper has a research on the development of DSP and applications of DSP and CAN Bus in power-automation system.Then centralized and hierarchical structures of the existing substation are compared and analyzed.A scheme of intelligent monitor system of substation based on DSP and CAN Bus is presented.And in accordance with the requirements of the power system,the performance indicators of system are given out.This paper adopts modularizing method in hardware design and elaborately designs measure,control module and communication module.By taking the advantages of the powerful,high-performance computing capabilities of DSP and rich peripheral interface circuits,the real-time respond performances and the speed of signal processing of system are greatly improved.At the same time,the technology of CPLD is adopted into hardware circuit design,and the external digital circuits of microcomputer are integrated into a chip.The complexity of external connections of system is reduced and the integration degree and programmability of system are enhanced.In telecommunications,by taking the advantages of high-speed communication and strong fault-tolerance of field-bus,CAN bus is successfully adopted into the communications of substation data at the scene.The communicating real-time capability and reliability of the whole system's data are greatly improved.In software designing,the interrupt resources of DSP are widely used to solve mufti-tasks request to DSP,so the real-time ability of system and running efficiency of software have been improved.In theory,calculating method of frequency,voltage, current,active power reactive power and so on is given based on FFT and anti-interference measure on both software and hardware are schemed to guarantee the accuracy requested by the system. At last,through simulation test under Matlab circumstance,it shows that the intelligent monitor system presented in this paper system has ideal rapidity,precision, anti-disturbance performance.And it meets the precision requirements of power system,and it proves that this scheme is available.
