With the development of electronic technology in automobile industry, numerous control signals in the car control system need real-time exchange process, leading to the growing complexity in communication among different electronic units. CAN (Controller Area Network) is a serial LAN bus, which efficiently supports the distributed real-time control; LIN (Local Interconnect Network) is mainly applied in a less complex system running at a lower speed. The use of field bus-style automobile control based on CAN, LIN is an inevitable trend in the development of automotive network.Lamps are necessary parts for automobile and with the market requirements becoming more and more varied, the overall design of lamps and the requirements of control have become more demanding, For example, modeling, power consumption, intelligent control, etc. Two most attentive issues are the intelligent control of headlamp and the LED using.This issue builds CAN / LIN bus platforms by using micro-controllers and CAN, LIN transceiver, in order to achieve the intelligent control of lamps. This Platform includes six nodes: a CAN major node, a CAN / LIN gateway node and four LIN slave nodes, all of the control signals for lamps come from the CAN major node, The CAN / LIN gateway is used as a CAN node in the CAN network as well as a LIN master node in the LIN network, which realizes the communication between CAN and LIN, the LIN slave nodes is in charge of the control and detection for lamps. As for the driving circuit, high power LED is driven by buck-boost mode as lamps.For the requirements of intelligent control, manual-automatic mode is added in this system besides the traditional manual mode, it can open the headlamps in low-intensity and close headlamps in high-intensity automatically, besides, it can switch high beam and low beam when crossing, speeded-up and braking automatically. At the same time, the manual control is still effective in that mode.The idea of lamps control system based on CAN/LIN bus has strong scalability; it also can be applied to other body control module, such as doors, windows, audio, etc. This design not only greatly improved the comfort of the car environment, but also enhance the intelligent control of the car body, in line with the development trend of automotive electronic, safety, energy saving, environmental protection, intelligence and information technology, Therefore, the result of this research will enjoy a promising market in the automotive electronic field.
