Study On The Maneuvering Indices Of Ship Equipped With Fin Stabilizers

Understanding on the ship's maneuvering character indices is very essential for the deck officers.In order to study the ship's handling ability,it has taken a wide range of test tools,developed and improved methods for a wide variety.The research of ship's K,T index is an important aspect among them.For decades,researcher carried out extensive research of different tonnage,types of ships,made a series of achievement and practical experience.However,it's rarely study of K,T index depend onthe ship with fins throughout the whole development.Thus,a research on this direction has a lot of means.In this paper,the K,T index of the ship with fins was study through Z-test of "yukun",which is practice ship of Dalian Maritime University teaching practice.1.The valuable experimental data was got through the ship test at sea.2.It had both success and failure experience while test at sea.Detailed analysis and comparison were made about personnel division,designing of record form, coordination during the test.3.The theoretical analysis about the result of Z-test was made by physical analysis,and then made a further polynomial fitting.This method is benefit to improve the accuracy of curve fitting.The error is smaller by the norms of the results.4.The result of K,T index was used in the simulation of ship's movement by the first-order Nomoto's model,showed the movement of this type ship from quantitative point.The result of the test will provide a accurate foundation to ship's mathematical modeling;The successful and fail experience will give a reference for the following test. Sub-fitting methods of test data is benefit to improve the accuracy of curve fitting,the simulation of ship's movement by the first-order response equation showed the movement of this type ship from quantitative point,and has important effect to maneuver this type ship,it also provide theoretical basis for maritime simulator.
