Study On Conformation Of The City Square In Dalian

City Square which praised to be the city's living room,is an important node of the urban space.In recent years,City Square has always been an important aspect of the city construction in Dalian.City Square not only improves the urban environment,provides citizens a public open space of rest, entertainment and communication,moreover it raises the quality of the material and spiritual life,leads the Dalian tourism industry to a great prosperity.However,there are still some inadequacies in many aspects of Dalian City Square.Intensive researches on these inadequacies play a role in instructing the construction of the City Square of other cities.Through the development history and design compare of the City Square in China and foreign cities,this paper summarizes the development direction of the City Square and puts forward the problems exist in current City Square of China,sets out the social background of the City Square in Dalian.First this paper studies the morphology of Dalian city square,expounds the morphology character from various levels,then chooses typical cases to do more detailed and accurate analysis on the nature of city square which refers to "The unification of activity and space",in the end concludes the space quality of the city square.This paper uses architectonics theories combining environmental psychology,ecology,urban design theory and other related theory to detect the problems exist in city square,and puts forward practicable proposes in solving the problems.This paper includes six chapters which as follows:The first chapter which is the introduction part,presents the basic concept of "morphology"," city square","the morphology of city square" to explain the meaning of the topic,then simply introduces the basic theories of this paper,besides presents the research developments at home and abroad,and the meaning,content and method of the research.Chapterâ…¡through the study in development of morphology of city square reveals the development trends and existing problems of the current China city squares.The development trends among them provide this paper a direction for finding out the problem.Chapterâ…¢through abundant information expounds the history morphology and the objective causes, which includes natural causes and social causes,of the emergence of Dalian square.Chapterâ…£through information collection and on-site inspection expounds the morphology character of city square from aspects in amount,sort,scale,spatial sequence,environment characteristic and usage characteristic.Chapterâ…¤chooses three typical squares in Dalian,which are Xinghai Square,the People's Square and Zhongshan Square,and analyzes these three cases from aspects of space morphology and usage status,at last reveals the comprehensive qualities of them.Chapterâ…¥combines the related theory referred in the first chapter and uses successful cases for reference,summarizes the typical problems exist in the construction of Dalian city square and proposes corresponding improve advices.
