Transmission towers are highly indeterminate space structures which are extensively used in transmission system,with the developing of our national modern ization,as the lifeline project of economic development,thesecurity of transmission system is attach(?)-d importance more and more.the safety of transmission system are closely related to tra-nsmission.towers'.therefore,the reaserch about the ultimate load capacity of transmissi-on tower has important project value and practical significance.Now,the analysis about transimission towers'mechanical behavior are extensively pr-oceeded according to linearity theory under the hypothe sis of light load and small defo-rmation.the design of transmission towers is proceeded with limit state method which based on probability.but,the study about transmission towers'mechanical behavior in the conditions of Elastic-plastic and plastic stage is less,when actual loads are exerted on transmission towers,its mechanical behavior is notompletely elasticity,transmission tower structure probably suffered load which exceed design load, such as:rare snow load,winds load,seismic loading.in addition,itself material defects and installation structure defects also made transmission tower structures' mechanical behavior and load capacity show differences under practical state and ideal state.so,it is very necessary to study mechanical behavior and load capacity of transmission towers under Elastic-plastic and plastic stage.Based on existing research datas,this thesis completely studied and analysed theoretical analysis method and mechanical behavior,in the course of analysis,To researched the influences about second-order effect and large displacement to transmission tower structures'mechanical behavior by setting geometric nonlinearity;To researched the transmission tower structures'mechanical behavior under elastic-plastic stage by setting material nonlinearity,That is,Have done the nonlinear buckling analysis of transmission tower under bi-nonlinearity conditions. In the course of Analysing in specific,on condition that take geometric nonlinearity and material nonlinearity,this thesis made a space trussmodel of 500kv resisting-tensile tower with sap2000,analysed internalforce,displacement and deformation of resisting-tensile tower undersnow condition and large wind condition.researched the main reason whichdestroyed resisting-tensile tower and amout,location of the main bar damaged by the force,found the ultimate load capacity of resisting tensile tower under snow condition and high winds condition.moreover,analysed and compared the effects of different bars to the ultimate load capacity of resisting-tensile tower and concluded useful conclusions.
