First, this article summarizes the research background of semi-rigid connections and introduces the study at home and abroad. At the basis of summary and collating, semi-rigid connections are carried on a systematic classification and method of study for that are discussed. Semi-rigid connections with dual-web and top angle as one kind of semi-rigid connections are conducted a thorough theoretical study. Second,at the basis of experimental study on semi-rigid connections with dual-web and top angle, a node of this type under one-way load are carried on numerical simulation and analysis and the whole process(stress changes ,the emergence and development of plastic zone, breakage) of node under one-way load is obtained by using the basic theory of finite element method. Finally, at the basis of numerical simulation and analysis of semi-rigid connections with dual-web and top angle under one-way load, 9 nodes of this type of different size under cyclic loading are carried on numerical simulation and analysis. Hysteresis curve and the stiffness degradation curve of node under cyclic loading are obtained. Energy performance and ductility of this connection are studied. Hysteretic model of this connection is established initially and the model parameters are determined.Theoretical basis and foundation are provided to study the performance of steel frames with semi-rigid connections under seismic loading.
