In this paper, aimed at the poor universal property of current Friction-and-Wear testing softwares, based on a focus analysis of features of various functional modules of the multifunctional tribometer, the component technology, the automation technology and testing technology are combined with the tribometer organically, editing and creating different components of modules. In this way, the modular test in the process of the test is achieved.Firstly, the article concludes the features of different tribometers, especially multifunctional tribometers, fully analyze designing structure of the multifunctional tribometer and carefully summarize the obtaining methods of different parameter info. Also, set up a rotating friction coefficient, a reciprocating friction coefficient and mathematical models of other parameters, and classify some units with similar functions into different modules for late treatments.Secondly, focus on the completion of designing functional blocks, including a data acquisition module, a speed control module, a trend curve display module and a print module. The data acquisition module based on the implementation of the multi-threading technology can realtimely collect the data of the secondary instrument and the acquisition card; the speed control module mainly designs the controlling of motor controlled by the siemens inverter, and designed implementation approach for different velocity spectrums and achieve precise controlling of speed regulation by using the high precision; designed the ability of simultaneously displaying 10 Real-time curves at its best in the part of the trend curve display which can fully meet the needs of displaying different tribometer parameters; the designing of printing modules is achieved through the way of external procedures which is mainly used for printing and saving experimental data.Finally, set up different testing systems of various tribometers by using Visual Basic 6.0 software and various designed modules. Because of the method of using modular construction, the testing system is user-friendly and the test flow is quickly and easily. The comparativeness and the reproducibility experiments carried out in the late stage show that the designed test system is stable and reliable, and the obtained test results are real and effective.
