With the High speed development of nuclear power industry, the major equipment in Nuclear power manufactured by domestic company's accelerating,mixed-flow Pump as the important part of thirdly circulating feed-water system,it's high efficient stability and safety become more important than before. This thesis research object is an mid specific speed vertical mixed-flow pump in trial production stage of an factory.Through the VC++ program to read the hydraulic blade date and realize the three-dimensional modeling, using STAR-CD software, based on 3-D-steady Navier-Stokes equations with the standard k-εturbulence closure models, using SIMPLE arithmetic for the prototype in 4,6 blades impellers simulation interior flow characteristics in different kinds of conditions of this mixed-flow pump.In order to provide a good choose evidence for the further optimize design.Numerical computation results show that the 4 and 6 blades impellers prototype machinery can not reach the require efficiency in design flow rate 1.0Q conditions, but 4 blades impellers is better than 6 blade in efficiency. Also based on theory analysis and further CFD computation results finding out 5 blades impeller is the best choice of blades number, It's performance curves will be better than 4 and 6 blades impellers, and is more approach to the performance curves of the factory needs.Flow field analysis and further computation found that impeller and casing in properties can not reach well each other. And be the major influence factor for the whole machinery in design flow rate conditions.Besides this inlet setting angle is a little large also increasing the inlet lossing and influencing the efficiency in some extent. Can through enlarge the sectional area of volute and reduce the inlet setting angle to improve the efficiency of the whole machine.
