The construction vibration control is one of the hot problems within the seismic fortification technology now. Eccentrically and energy dissipation braced steel frame is structure which viscoelastic dampers are serially connected with brace in eccentrically braced steel frame, it is a new kind of energy-dissipation structure developing in recent years. This kind of structure dissipate a great deal of earthquake energy by the non-elastic distortion of the energy-dissipation brace system, reduce seismic response of structure greatly, and it have the function of double fuse. Because of these advantages, more and more designer have beginning to use it.In this paper, according to the code for seismic design of buildings and the domestic and overseas present research results, the mechanics performances and calculation model with viscoelastic damper and the eccentrically and energy dissipation braced were studied. The performances of eccentrically and energy dissipation braced which is effected by the ratio of steel support stiffness and damper stiffness, the formulas are deduced about the horizontal controlling force of energy dissipation braced and the ultimate bearing capacity of the energy dissipation braced.In this paper, the research object is based on a 15-layer and three dimensional steel building. Three structure systems with frame,eccentrically braced frame,eccentrically and energy dissipation braced frame were analyzed using the finite element analytical software ANSYS. The structure of the vibration characteristics is analyzed. At the effects of seismic waves Elcentro, the nonlinear time-history analysis at the scarce earthquake was carried through in this three structure models. The results are obtained after analysis and comparation.The optimal analysis of the viscoelastic dampers' location and viscoelastic damping material's parameters. The procedures of nonlinear time-history analysis was writed using the language of ansys parameters design language. According to three objective function, the optimal location of viscoelastic dampers was defined using order approximation method. According to optimize design module of the software ANSYS, the optimal parameters of viscoelastic damping material can be obtained. According to the analysis results, the good conclusion can obtained about the energy dissipation technology which can be refered by engineering designer.
