Study Of Railway Landscape Planning And Design

On one hand,the construction of railway has promoted the development of regional economy,on the other hand,it has caused environmental damage inevitably.Due to the restrictions of social and economic development level,China's environmental construction along the railway lines has been ignored for a long time,nor has the systematic theory and norms been formed.Therefore,the systematic study and practice of the landscape along railway lines will be beneficial to the overall coordination of railway engineering and the natural environment,and will reduce the negative impact of construction projects on the landscape and environment.It will make railways real green corridors with safety, efficiency,and beautiful scenery.The author adopted a comprehensive approach of analysis of literature and examples,combining with transportation,ecology,environmental protection,aesthetics,tourism and other related theories, makes the preliminary study and discussion for the railway landscape planning and design theory on a comparatively systematical level,for the characteristics of railway engineering,and from the perspective of landscape science.First,this thesis analyzed and summarized the concept,composition and feature of railway landscape, and put forward the general principles of planning and design.Then,from the aspect of scenic resources protection,ecological restoration and landscaping,it expatiated on the railway landscape planning and design along with related contents including:evaluation of landscape resources,coordination of railway line selection and the environment,slope and tunnel entrance afforestation,vegetation restoration for soil spoiling and stacking field,animal channel establishment,the railway works design and landscaping,the landscaping for squares in front of stations,etc.In particular,it discussed the design of the railway greenbelts and the integration of landscape along the railway.And it puts forward the conception of establishing the interpretation system for railway landscape to show the unique regional culture,which also enriches the railway's landscape cultural connotation.Finally,it conclude the procedure of railway landscape planning and design.Studies suggested that:coordination the relationship between the railway and landscape along the railway line was the main of railway landscape designing;railway landscape planning and design should always run through the course of railway construction.
