The integration of Distributed Generation into large-scale power systems is an attractive proposition in terms of diversity of energy supply, higher reliability, and reduced pollution impacts. Distributed Generation can be applied in a manner that it not only plays the conventional role of regulating power flow, but also can avoid voltage sag and reduce line loss. In light of the calculations of the optimum installation siting and sizing, a calculation method combining the graph and genetic algorithm was proposed, which was based on the chain distribution network, and adopted the static load model with constant power and the distributed source model. Through optimal allocation between power quality conditioner and distributed generation, the power quality of distribution network has improved. Typical simulation samples demonstrated the correctness and availability of the method proposed.
