This article are supposed by the national scientific and technological project"UHV power transmission system exploitation and demonstration project"(NO.2006BAA02A20),carried out research in two areas.First,Based on analyzing 12 pulse HVDC principle and analyzing HVDC system's kinds of characteristics,It calculated the HVDC transmission lines overvoltage in the situation of lightning strike fault and ground fault;Then the valve tower structure's stray parameters were calculated with three dimensional finite element software when considered stray parameters of the complex metal conductor in valve hall,and establish its wide-band electric circuit model of converter system;Under considered valve tower's stray parameters,the converter Electro Magnetic Disturbance(EMD)characteristics were calculated when the converter station was running under steady station.Compared its result with not considered valve tower's stray parameters,after considering the stray parameters,the EMD intensity reduces under the most of frequency,but possibly oscillates under certain frequency.
