NO.2 fan motor in Baotou Steel Factory secondary dedusting system did not work at rated frequency and rated speed, the total dedust air volume did not reach the technical requirement, the dust which drop from the plant is larger, and the environment pollution is serious. In order to meet the energy saving and environment protection requirements, solve the problem thoroughly, the factory made a transformation program that transform the NO.2 fan motor control system at the time of repairing, the control system for the motor of the dedusting fan No.2 is modified into a frequency-control system by employment of a direct high-voltage frequency converter DHVECTOL-HI from HITACHI to solve the power insufficiency of the fan during the peak hour of production and to achieve the goal of energy saving through stepless speed regulation in light of the requirements of production. Modification of the fan No.2 by integrating a remote control function is implemented on the basis of the successful modification of the motor, form a systematic transformation work, determine the SP-4000 series PLC as the control unit and ET200M as the remote controller, and used in STEP7 and WinCC V6.0, implement the communication between host computer and S7-400 PLC, S7-400 PLC and distributed ET-200, complete the monitor and management of NO.2 fan motor variable frequency control finally.
