With the progress of investigation and application of biomass thermo chemical conversion technology,the influence of biomass gasification tar aroused much attention.In this paper,we introduce the progress of biomass tar catalyst in the world;the properties of main groups of catalysts were concluded.The catalyst systems for conversion of tar in cracking gas of biomass were reviewed in this article,and we also introduce the prospect of biornass tar conversion.Using benzene,toluene,naphthalene,n-heptane,cyclohexane,Phenol,divinylene oxide as model compounds of biomass tar.The effect of temperature,steam content(s/c) and times for tar catalytic conversion were investigated in a fixed bed reactor over catalyst dolomite and Ni.The experimental results indicated that the conversion improved with increasing temperature and decreasing space velocity.The conversion ratio of different model compound over the same experiment factor was widely different;the catalytic activity of dolomite is far lower than Ni catalyst,except one experiment factor.the conversion rate of beneze is 8%when temperature was 650℃,it was 98.5%when temperature was 650℃.In presence of Ni catalyst and s/c=1,the compound of decornpostion n-heptane have 27.1%CO,1.4%CO2 and 64.8%H2 when temperature was 650℃,the compound of decomposition n-heptane have 15.2%CO,1.4%CO2 and 71.6%H2 while s/c=5,the composition of was decreased and the composition of CO2 was increased quickly,we also found that not only s/c could effect the composition of decomposition tar,but also temperature and times has deep effect the composition of decomposition of biomass tar,the consult should be positive for biomass tar decomposition...
