In this paper, a pilot study on postheating of ethylene tetrafluoroethylene (ETFE) insulation wire was made and the wire production process was introduced. Radiation crosslinked ETFE wires were postheated on various conditions and determined the mechanical and thermal properties subsequently. The difference is not remarkable postheating in air and vacuum. And prolonged postheating in low temperature takes equivalent effect on insulation with in higher temperature.
