Multi-layer ETFE cushion structure buildings have developed rapidly in China and are widely used.Its own structure can realize the dynamic response to outdoor climate change through pneumatic control,which has proved to have the potential to improve the indoor lighting and thermal environment.Based on the literature review,this article rationally simplified the modeling of the multi-layer ETFE cushion structure,and comprehensively analyzed the thermal performance of the pillow through the optical performance and energy consumption performance of a typical office model with ETFE cushion.A set of programs based on the Grasshopper for Rhino plug-in,calling RADIANCE/Daysim and Energy Plus kernels,to perform joint dynamic lighting and energy consumption simulation was built.The lighting and energy consumption performance of three multi-layer ETFE cushions with different light transmittances in five representative cities in China's meteorological regions were studied.The simulation results show that:The application of the multi-layer ETFE cushion may increase the area of the indoor area with insufficient lighting.The working plane of the indoor window area of the building with transparent double glazing windows has 50%to 65%of the working hours in the state of excessive lighting throughout the year.The switch to ETFE cushion can reduce the risk of overheating or glare caused by excessive lighting,thereby increasing the useful daylight time.According to the cushion light transmittance,the useful daylight time can be increased by up to 37.26%.The multi-layer ETFE cushion mainly reduces the indoor cooling load by reducing the entry of solar radiation,so as to achieve the effect of energy saving.Due to different climate regions,the load characteristics are different,and the performance of ETFE cushions in different cities is different.Under the climatic conditions of Guangzhou,the architectural model using the ETFE cushion with low light transmittance can reduce the annual load index of40.9KWh/m~2compared to the transparent double glazing window system,which saves a relative energy consumption of 23.4%.At the same time,a multi-layer ETFE cushion was customized to build a scaled-down office model,and its optical performance was measured under the climatic conditions of Hefei,and compared with the simulation results.
