The model of vehicle-guideway-control coupling problems for electromagnetic levitated vehicle system travelling is established. The dynamical characteristics of the vehicle under wind load and no wind load are studied. The main achievements made in this paper are as follows:The fundamental dynamical model for reflecting vehicle-guideway-control coupling problems are established from the basic theories of Mechanics, Physics and Control, Model I : the two degree suspensions model with five kinds of vehicle motions such as heave, sway, pitch, roll and yaw; Model II: the model with independent guidance system.Based on steady and incompressible N-S equations and K-εturbulent model, numerical calculations for the aerodynamic characteristics of vehicle/guideway system under crosswinds are done with the use of the finite element analysis software ANSYS. The dynamical characteristics of the vehicle are studied. It is showed by the analysis result that wind velocity, vehicle velocity and control parameters are a great influence on the stability of maglev vehicle.
