| With the development of landscape architecture design including its idea and technology as the time goes by, hard landscape material plays an important part in the landscape design project. The aim of the paper is to summon up the way of hard landscape material selection and application.Combined with the theories and example, the paper proposed its research purposes, meaning and definite the object of study. Compared with soft material such as plants and water, the paper focused on hard material which is hard quality artificial material or the view made by artificial material. Then through reviewing the history of hard material home and abroad, the paper analyzed the mistakes made during the hard material design in China's landscape construction. Base on the study of some theories, the way of hard landscape material selection and application was brought forward, under such circumstances as landscape acceptor difference, style difference and function difference. Besides some design methods or technique such as material combination, details, shadow, contrast between traditions and modern material and so on. After that, based on theories study and living examples analysis, the paper expounded the function played by hard material in landscape design, and the significance to the expression of site sprit, local culture and appreciation. |
