In recent years,China has become one of the leading space powers. It is not something new;China has been working on space projects for fifty years, straggling to get prestige and international influence. It has never been easy, and through economical, political and technological problems China has now managed to operate at the highest level of space activities.China always received criticisms from abroad, and its space program has also become a target. Some experts from the U.S,Japan, and India(India is the main regional rival) etc.have restlessly attacked China's space program in declaring that it was mainly a military program, driven by the motivation of defeating the U.S space dominance. For the United States,China's extension into space symbolizes its ambitions to challenge U.S.national security. In this thesis,I aim at demonstrating that the Chinese space program is not a threat for space or other space nations. The study evaluates the impact of the Chinese space program in both military and civilian, and analyzes the relations between China and other space nations.Indeed,it is necessary to analyze China's military and civilian space program in order to get a clear picture of China's space goals.First of all,China since its opening has always worked hard on its economic development and its space program needs to emphasize this guidance of operation.China's main point is economic development with its space program as a way to sustain it and not the inverse. Moreover,China knows what happened to the USSR during the cold war trying to catch up with the United States,it would be a waste of energy, resources, and a foolish action for China to attempt to do the same. Therefore,Beijing will not try to prioritize its space program, and more important will not emphasize its military space program. In addition,China is a strong advocate of a treaty banning weapons in the outer space. Russia and China joined their force in demanding that the United States not undermine the arms control treaty that prevents the deployment of weapons in outer space. In parallel,China has participated in bilateral, regional, multilateral, and international space cooperations in different forms, such as commercial launching services, and these have yielded significant achievements. These cooperations are one of the pillars of China's space program. The Asia Pacific Space Cooperation Organization established in 2005 is an excellent example of China working with States for whom China is the leader. Moreover,China has worked extensively with South American countries such as Brazil, Venezuela and Argentina. In addition to that,China has been an important player in Europe's Galileo satellite-navigation system. The rise of the Chinese space program might also be a sign of the U.S space decline on the commercial space market.China's space journey started half a century ago,the country took its time and perseverance to finally pay off.
