The poor durability of concrete pavement surface texture is the main factor of low skid resistance and high traffic accident. Aims at the problem of durability, the paper researches on improvement of the durability of surface texture based on the mechanism of damage, and it is of great significance not only for the project but also for society.Combining with characteristics of the surface texture, the damage mechanics of cement concrete pavement is investigated and the damage mode is classified; By laboratory test, the paper researches on several factors effecting abrasion resistance of concrete involving type and graduation of coarse aggregate, type of fine aggregate and the admixture, and then raw material is well selected and the match ratio design is implemented. The orthogonal design method is used for the optimum match ratio design of wear resistant concrete. The method of taking use of mineral additives is studied to improve durability of the concrete of pavement, and then the compound of fly ash and slag is proposed to improve the surface durability of concrete after abrasion and freezing-thawing test. Moreover, the SEM test is used to observe the morphology of concrete, and the result shows that the mineral additives reinforce the interface transitional region greatly, decrease micro-fracture and void in concrete, so improve the durability of surface texture of concrete pavement.Combined with the pavement construction engineering in Lijiahe tunnel of Lanshang express highway, experimental road is paved and spot construction technology has been developed, based on laboratory experimental results, appropriate construction techniques and quality controlling measures are advanced. After half a year's running, the road is detected and the result shows that the pavement is in good condition without damage on surface texture.
