In the next war,maintaining smooth traffic will be an important factor for mobilization of troops and logistics lifeline. To overcome obstacles of river will be the most important problem for maintaining smooth traffic.As the army corps of engineers, the land force mission pontoon will solve this problem, they will play an important role in the next war. There are many factors involved in river-crossing support, it will inevitably lead to some negligence just by qualitative analysis and the judge of decision-makers, and lead to erroneous decision-making. Consequently, it's the need to study for quantitative analysis method of this problem, and to propose methods of decision-making, to effectively increase the capacity of river-crossing support.This paper gave a systematic introduction for the status, roles and characteristics of mission pontoon. Analysised the workflow and identify the factors. Focused on the selection criteria and comprehensive evaluation method of crossing-place, proposed river-crossing support command decision-making model based on Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (FAHP). The specific content of the papers include:(1) Starting from the analysis of the status and role of the mission pontoon, focused on its status, tasks, characteristics and requirements. Fully discussed the composition, equipment, workflow. On this basis, analysised the impact foctors of river-crossing support. Proposed that choosing and buliding the cross-place are the most important parts of the cross-river support.(2) Proposed cross-place choosing method based on Multi-factor decision-making. Analysised the value index of cross-place and confirm their weight. Discussed how to write a reconnaissance report. On the basis of basic data, adopted an integrated approach to quantitative assessment, provide the theoretical basis for the commander to choose the best cross-place.(3) Proposed command decision-making model for river-crossing support based on FAHP, studied in detail the calculation model of bridge and pontoon. According to the tactical and technical requirements, analysised all kinds of impact factors of river-crossing support dicision-making, and classified these factors. Proposed hierarchical model of cross-river support dicision-making, simulated the decision-making by PAHP.(4) To verify the feasibility of this method, mission pontoon to take part in the exercise as an example, used PAHP in the evaluation process. The program evaluation showed that this paper have a real value.
