The reactive power compensation is an important problem of electric power system's economical operation. This paper presents a new algorithm on reactive power optimization so that the power factor of network is improved, the user's voltage quality is improved, and the transmission ability of transformers and lines is enhanced.Reactive power compesation is a muti-objective, multi-variable, multi-constrained mixed nonlinear programming problem. In this paper, we research reactive power compesation technology for dispersion compensation carrying out reactive power compesation to the load point so that the reactive power is balanced in user's place and do not flow on distribution lines. The paper analyses the actual characters and recently situations. According to the theory of reactive power compesation, proposing the scheme of reactive power compesation, it determines compesation capacity and position. Based on"node list"searching alternating iteration method, we perform power flow calculation to distribution network, analyse the convergence to the real examples of DaQing oil hospital and test the practicability and validity of this paper method by making computer language.
