With the explosive increase of the nation's traffic amount, the speed-rising reconstruction of existing highway becomes a common phenomenon. Because of insufficient load grade, the bridges can't satisfy the requirement of highway reconstruction, and need to be strengthened in time. Meanwhile, the road reconstruction often needs to enhance the overall elevation of the bridge deck. Aiming at this situation, proposing composite beam reinforcement method, and certain problems as following are studied combined with the strengthening projects in 212 national highway from Nanchong to Xichong in the thesis, which can be a reference for the later similar works. The main works are as follows:1. Summarized the related situation of bridge detection, assessment and reinforcement. Also introduced the significance and research status of composite beam reinforcement method. Then pointed out the main works of this paper.2. Introduced the principle and construction process of composite beam reinforcement method, and analyses the calculation method of internal forces in elastic. Then analyses the calculation methods in bearing capacity of the composite beam sections.3. Introduced the basic theory of finite element method and reinforce concrete nonlinear finite element method. Then analyses the destruction process of a composite beam section combined with project example by finite element analysis.4. By finite element analysis, found out the change laws of the transverse load distribution after reinforcement. Then analyses the parameters influencing.5. Combined with bridge load test, analyses the measure data, tested bridge reinforcement effect, verified the feasibility of composite beams reinforcement method.
