simply supported-to-continuous beam bridge have the advantages of the simply sup-ported beam bridge and continuous girder bridge, so it is used more and more widely in high grade highway especially for the medium and small span bridges. The calculation method of transverse distribution coefficient in the design of the bridge are followed, the traditional method such as Fixed rigid beam method, rigid connected beam method, hinge connected beam method etc, and the Finite Element Analysis is more creative. But the traditional method have more simplified condition and the calculation accuracy is not good, the Finite Element Analysis also has some shortage, such as modeling complex and the calculation is huge. So its necessary to carry out the calculation of load transverse distribution coefficient calculation on simply supported-to-continuous small box girder bridge. Taking the JINGZHOU overpass in CHANGXIANG highway as the background, here is the major research content:1.It stated the mechanical characteristics of simply supported-to-continuous beam bridge and the status folds transverse distribution between all over the grout.2.Taking the waiting simply supported plate method to switch the cross section stiffness of simply supported-to-continuous beam bridge(JINGZHOU separate overpass) As the cross section stiffness of simply supported beam bridge, and take the modified method of rigid beam respectively, rigid connected beam method, articulated beam method to calculate the transverse distribution coefficient of the bridge across.3.This paper mainly studies simply supported continuous small box girder bridge trans-verse distribution coefficient problem. First summed up simply supported continuous small box girder bridge structure features, and introduces the research status of "load lateral dis-tribution" at home and abroad. Then based on the basic principles of equivalent simple beam translation stiffness method, use conventional modified rigid beam method, rigid beam method and hinged beam method, calculate misspend transverse distribution coefficient of simply supported continuous small girder bridge.4. The conclusion of dynamic and static load test of JINGZHOU overpass indicate that The bridge’s mechanical performance is good, satisfied the design of specification require-ments; The bridge was opened and run well in December 2013, and the test results coincide well with the traditional method and finite element method furthermore it verified the tradi-tional method based on the equivalent stiffness and the correctness of the finite element anal-ysis method.
