In recent years, earthquake disasters frequently occurred all over the world and have brought great damage to the safety of life and property of people. As the life-line project, if bridges collapsed in earthquake, there is not only huge direct loss, but also indirect disaster that will bring more loss of life and property. Because of its advantages, concrete filled steel tubular arch bridge, as a new kind of bridge, has gotten great development, and are widely used in recent years in China. Along with the increase of span, the computation of long span CFST arch bridge's seismic response and aseismic performance is more and more important.1. The dynamic characteristics analysis of CFST arch bridge. A finite element model of a CFST arch bridge is established using common finite element program-ANSYS. The bridge's dynamic characteristics are computed. Some structural factors, such as cross bracing and arch-rib rigid, that have influence on the result of dynamic characteristics are also discussed.2. The seismic spectrum analysis of CFST arch bridge. Several appropriate seismic spectrum curves based on the recent highway bridge seismic standard are completed. The CFST arch bridge's internal force and displacement responses are computed according to the curve. Some structural factors, such as cross bracing and arch-rib rigid, that have influence on the result of seismic spectrum analysis are also discussed. The response differences, based on the recent and old highway bridge seismic standard, are compared.3. The seismic response time-history analysis of CFST arch bridge. A finite element model, for the seismic response time-history analysis of CFST arch bridge, is established. Some structural factors, such as cross bracing, that has influence on the result of seismic response time-history analysis, are also discussed.
