With the development of China's mid-west area, the railway in loess region is also building a new peak. The loess areas for hydro-climatic environment, brings a lot of difficulties for the green channel construction, especially the vegetation type selection and combination of plant, study on slope protection of plants in loess region of species selection and rational combination of great significance.According to Zheng-xi passenger dedicated line slope loess areas where climate, hydrology, geography, etc., the paper studied on the selection of slope protection plant and combination mainly from the following four aspects:(1) Carried on an site investigation into loess soil and water conservation, the botanical garden construction, highway and railway construction situation of vegetation restoration. And provide a basis materials for the selection of the loess slope protection plant and rational combination model research on Zheng-xi passenger dedicated line.(2) Considering the form of plant roots and root-soil interaction characteristics, built the mechanical analysis model, and several plants are analyzed.(3) As a limited factor in soil, water, climate and so on, combined with resistance indicators of the species, and selected the suitable species for Zheng-xi passenger dedicated line.(4) According to the theories of ecological restoration, combined with field research, vegetation combination models in loess slope are dicussed.
