At present, the durability of reinforced concrete structure attracts more and more attention in engineering field and becomes a hotspot for study, and the protective measures of such structure are increasing dramatically. On concrete bridge project due to the impact of the materials, environmental, temperature stress, drying shrinkage, and curing conditions, concrete produces micro-cracks on serface inevitably. Cracks make corrosion materials penetrat internal structure easily, thus speed up the destruction of the structure, and affect the functionality and security of the structure. Waterproof coating material is used to prevent corrosion of concrete bridge surface, and because coating can prevent or mitigate erosion media from getting into the internal structure, it can effectively reduce the corrosion to the structure, thus to improve their durability, and it is more difficult for concrete corrosion.To be in accordance with the development of waterproof coating material industry and the requirements of coating materials in bridge engineering at present, this research selected three types of such materials (XY-2001 Silicone rubber waterproof material, JHRF Fluorocarbon resin, Spray Polyurea Elastomer) for experimental study. The research experiments included Mechanical Properties test, the paint concrete specimens drying-wetting cycles in the condition of sulfate corrosion , a variety of corrosion immersion, Electrical Indication of Concrete Ability to Resist Chloride Ion Penetration. Based on the analysis of the results of all these tests mentioned above, this paper systematically expounded the different performances both in mechanical properties and in affects to certain corrosion, and analyzed the reasons. Some advices were given on how to select waterproof coating materials for bridge engineering.Reference to technical measures of concrete anticorrosion on Jinghu high speed rail, this paper chose high performance concrete as the building material of concrete substrate. Under the effect that waterproof coating protects concrete substrate, analyze and expatiate the effectiveness how the measures combining high performance concrete with waterproof coating to improve concrete durability, and provide the basis for further study with this measure.Finally, according to demands of the practical engineering, this paper proposed the design and construction suggestions about application of these three water-proof coating materials.
