With the improvement of rapid urbanization level, it is great significance to alleviate and finally settle the traffic problems, reduce exhaust emissions, land use, and energy risk through developing rail transportation as the backbone and road traffic as the main body of the city public transport system. Compared with the traditional subway, the linear motor subway can greatly reduce the required tunnel cross-section size and the project cost, and meanwhile, it can improve the vehicle climbing and curving ability. Thus, the linear motor subway is more suitable for the complex urban terrain and environment. It can say that the linear motor subway has been widely received because of its low cost, flexible circuit design, good ride comfort, and will be one of the best urban transport systems.A general development situation of the linear motor vehicles was expatiated in the paper firstly; the research actuality of the inland and overseas was analyzed. The dynamic models of three different suspension types are set up, the mechanical electric model is also set up in Simulink, co-simulation method is used to simulate the operation of linear motor vehicles, the diversities in dynamic performance and the impact of the linear motor air-gap and the electrical power changes are compared, Linear motor air-gap changes and changes in the electrical power are also compared. The parameters of frame-Suspension program are optimized. With the optimized parameters, the vehicle dynamic performance is predicted in the condition of AW0, AW2, AW3.The main contribution of this paper is lies in that a detailed analysis of the influence of three different suspension types on the dynamics performance , changes in air gap and force is done by the co-simulation of multi-body dynamics software SIMPACK and Simulink for the first time.
