The design of waterjet propulsion devices, the specific design of monitoring control alarm system and some optimum designs for monitoring system are described in the paper. The purpose is to improve the response time and astern manipulation time by increasing hydraulic fluid flow rate, amend ships'maneuverability and provide machines redundancy in operation.The paper makes main research work and conclusion:(1) Distributed water jet propulsion devices, Demonstrate lecotype Programme for main engine and water jets, Detailedly introduce the Distributed water jet propulsion devices.(2) CAN bus interface technology In the design of monitoring control alarm system for water jet propulsion devices, double CAN bus is adopted to transmit signals between engine room equipments and wheel house equipments, while the signal transmission of the equipments inside the wheel house control console, including the equipments for controlling waterjet pumps and main engine sets, is changed to adopt single point transmission. It simplifies the internal interfaces of monitoring equipments, and advances the reliability of devices.(3) In the design of monitoring control alarm system for water jet propulsion devices, the wheel house waterjet pumps control box and interfaces conversion box are combined to the wheel house pumps control box placing inside the wheel house control console. The combined wheel house pumps control box undertakes the connections with double CAN-A,B bus of every control boxes, omits the double CAN-S,M inside the wheel house control console, replaces with that the wheel house pumps control box is directly connected with control selecting panels, operation handles and operation handwheels. After the alteration, the function realization of systems is clearer, interfaces are simpler, and the integer reliability of monitoring control devices is improved.(4) The interfaces of main engine manipulation units (PAN3), alarm response units(PAN1) and the wheel house main engine control box are changed to be the single point signal connections. It simplifies the systems, and advances the reliability of devices.
