With the wide use of hydrogen energy, especially liquid hydrogen, Higher request is put forward to the conveying technology of hydrogen. In all ways, transmission of liquid hydrogen with a cryogenic liquid piston pump has the advantage of other approaches have. Therefore, it is very important for us to study the pump with high pressure, great discharge capacity, credible work, little volume, which can meet the need of conveying hydrogen.In accordance with problems of cryogenic liquid hydrogen pump's design and manufacture, this paper develops the basic study of cryogenic liquid hydrogen pump. Based on the existing research results, combined with the modem design technique and modem design-analysis software, the structure design and the key components' analysis were accomplished.The details of the research are as follows:(1) Through the study of working mechanism of cryogenic liquid hydrogen pump, we have wholly understood the work characteristic, movement law and force condition of the cryogenic liquid hydrogen pump, which provides theoretic foundation to the structure design of pump and has important meanings to advance the level of the pump's design.(2) By comparing the structure and performance of existing cryogenic liquid pump and the demonstration of many design projects, we bring forward a kind of cryogenic liquid pump design project and technical parameter, which is feasible in technique and advanced in structure.(3)On the base of the classification and summary of mechanical properties and thermophysical properties of common materials applied to cryogenic liquid hydrogen environment, every part's material of the pump was determined.(4) Experimental measurement system of cryogenic liquid hydrogen pump was established, which laid a foundation of the performance test of the pump.In a word, through this studying work, the design theory and method of the cryogenic liquid hydrogen pump have been formed. The exploitation and further study of the cryogenic liquid hydrogen pump have been put forward combining with traditional design, computer technology and software technology, which will improve the design efficiency and shorten the development period. Consequently, the studying work of this paper has certain value in theory and practice.
