With the rapid development merchandise economy, various kinds of merchandise entry into market continuously. Along with it, a great deal of fake and inferior merchandise floods the market at an astonishing speed. These counterfeits not only bring about serious economic 1osses to 1egal manufacturers, but also do great harm to the life and health of consumers. Many of the existed anti-counterfeit technologies can be imitated easily, and their anti-counterfeit functions are limited. Therefore, a new kind of anti-counterfeit technology that can be accepted by both manufacturers and consumers widely on price and technology complexity is urgently needed to solve the problems existing in the anti-counterfeit field.Due to the reasons above, this thesis puts forward the concept of the barcode watermarking based on Information Hiding. The product information are firstly encoded into 2D barcode, and then combined with another security technique of digital products-digital watermarking to provide more strong security protection on the products. The main content of the thesis is as follow:The theories and implementation of barcode recognition on mobile are deeply studied, including the demand for mobile platform, the barcode image analyze, barcode recognition and translation. The whole recognition system is implemented on the platform of J2ME; PDF417 barcode character technical parameter requirements are studied to search for a possible approach to embed watermark into a barcode. The key techniques in barcode watermarking process system are discussed, including barcode watermark generation, watermark embedding, watermarking detection and watermark extraction, the algorithm has been proved by simulation result; A product protection scheme adopting secure techniques of Anti-counterfeit system is proposed. To be more specific, the scheme uses digital watermarking and 2D barcode encoding to protect product. Anti-counterfeit analysis indicates that the scheme provides stronger security and less cost than many existed method.
