With the development of the seismic technology, more and more energy dissipation device has been applied in the buildings. This paper analysis three different types of energy dissipation device—pall friction damper, viscous damper, improved pseudo-viscous friction damper as well as their characteristics of energy consuming and cushioning capacity. Based on the interaction of soil and structures, this paper gives a clear analysis on the frame construction while installing the pall friction damper viscous damper, viscous damper, improved pseudo-viscous friction damper through time history analysis, and the influence that the interaction of soil and structure exerts on the seismic performance of energy dissipation device. The main points of this paper are summarized as following:(1) An overview of the structure control, energy dissipative device and soil-structure interaction is provided.(2) Based on the SSI effect, the calculation model of structural mechanics as well as the calculation model of single energy dissipation structural is introduced in detail. The structural dynamics of numerical calculation methods (Wilson-θ) is introduced.(3) Introduced three different energy dissipation devices, an analysis of their basic characteristics. Analysis of three different energy dissipation device of energy hysteresis characteristic, drew expressions of resilience.(4) Based on influence that the interaction of soil and structure exerts on the seismic performance of energy dissipation device. Analyzing how brace stiffness, equivalent stiffness, equivalent mass, equivalent damping ratio influence the energy dissipation device.
