This article has done research on the distributed situation of the welding residual stress of the rectangular pipe and magnitude of the residual stress. The research is based on the related precedential experiments and simulations. The ANSYS software is applied to conduct the simulator study. The actual content is as follows:1,Some questions about ANSYS simulation of welding residual stress are discussed, such as the selection of unit type, the constitutive material, mesh density, methods in strengthening the convergence.2,Taking on welding dual-channel steel as the main subject, this paper has researched on different section size, different steel length and different order of welding as the impact on post-welding temperature and the welding residual stress3,In this paper, it has calculated the temperature change at the welded joint by the ANSYS software ,and the results comparing with the analytical solution has basically reached its identification. The results show that the analytical results and the simulation results are basically the same.4,This paper has studied the welding residual stress through a numerical simulation, introducing the method of calculating the residual stress and obtaining the equivalent residual stress. The longitudinal residual stress and the crosswise residual stress at the different spot of the weldment. The conclusion can draw some meaningful advice to the project.
