In precision instruments, construction machinery, weapons systems, aerospace and other fields,the moment of inertia is an important paramenter which impact the characteristics of the parts and the system. In the machinery industry, in order to determine its performance and features, there are so many fixed-axis rotating parts which need determinate their moment of inertia. So,the development of the moment of inertia measurement system is of great significance.This article brings up a moment of inertia measurement methods based on the minimum zone condition system recognition theory, and uses spring torsion pendulum device to produce vibration signal, then uses the method of minimum conditions to test the natural frequency of vibration signals. As Virtual Instrument Technology to the basis, LabVIEW software applied to achieve the moment of inertia measurement system.When this system measured, the measured workpiece was installed in the fixed axis testing system. It used the acceleration sensor to detecte the system's free swing signal, and processed by signal conditioning module, then used the USB2821 acquisition card to collecte the signal to the computer, applied LabVIEW software to form the moment of inertia detection software system, analysised and processed the collected data , then calculated the natural frequency of the measured part and the moment of inertia of the workpiece. At last, completed the design of a complete set of moment of inertia measurement system.The main thesis of the study is a moment of inertia measurement system design and development. Main contents include: 1. Analysis pendulum test objects moment of inertia principle and the mathematical model; 2. Moment of inertia measurement system in machine design; 3. Principle circuit test system part of the design; 4. Moment of inertia measurement system software programming; 5. Experimental tests and analysis of the results.After the completion of the overall design, a great deal of the experimental test has been done.And it can be concluded: The design of the high measurement accuracy, speed ,the good stability and easy to operate, which is widely used in aerospace, aviation, steel, machinery, light industry, and biomechanics research and production fields. |
