The Folding Structure as a new structure system, after several decades of development has produced a variety of structural forms. Light Folding Structure Shell is created on the basis of a retractable light metal structure and is convenient for transportation and put up rapidly. However, the light folded structure selection and the design of the structure are at an exploratory stage and that no uniform design standards. To be able to bring light folding shell structure of the mobility and transport folded full play we should discover the lighter weight and reasonable force performance, which requires a structural design optimization studies.Based on comprehensive and systematic analysis of light folding the structure mechanism, structure type, node design, load handling we should do the preliminary design for structural optimization and design. Establishing light folding shell structure optimal mathematical model, analyzing typical a light folding shell structure of the 12 conditions, and using ANSYS APDL program provided parameters finite element program of structural optimization and design, this paper come to light folding shell structure the main factors for optimization and give a theoretical support for designing a light folding shell structure.Using APDL structural analysis and statistical analysis module and combining PDS we used Monte-Carlo method to do 10 000 random sampling for light folding shell structure to evaluate reliability and security. Come to the main failure of the structure by the displacement control, and the main strength of component has a great influence on reliability.Lastly, this paper used the structure of the load-displacement method of the entire process tracking for the biggest displacement vector point . Compared optimization results and the structure of the full-scale tests they have the same structure mechanical properties. Optimization results are proved correctness.
