With the continuous development of industrial technology, hydraulic systems and equipment are developing to high voltage, high power, high precision and high capacity, its composition and structure become more complex, at the same time the loss caused by system failures are also increasing. Therefore, how to increase the reliability of system is the most importment research. In order to improve the reliability of the hydraulic system, we need to detect the system for real-time,but hydraulic system components and the liquid are in a closed space, so it brings certain difficulties for real-time detection system.Hydraulic system flow is one of the important parameters, which directly reflects the size of the operation of the hydraulic system which is good or bad. The subject is based on the acoustic properties of liquid to design a hydraulic system flowmeter with ultrasonic detection technology .It is easy to achieve non-contact detect the hydraulic system flow without increasing the complexity of the hydraulic system and affecting the hydraulic conditions.In this paper, the study includes the following three aspects:(1)Through analysing and reaserching of various flow detection principles, becase of the ultrasonic detection technology with mature experience and the acoustic properties of liquid, this paper presents a method based on ultrasonic time difference to dectcet the hydraulic system .(2)For ultrasonic transducer and ultrasonic characteristics , the design of detection system hardware circuit including ultrasonic transmitter circuit, receiver and amplifier circuit, and compare circuits with zero-crossing. At the same time, to design the sofeware for the MCU and CPLD.(3)Set up an experimental platform, through the experimental data acquisition and processing system to verify the feasibility of testing system.The research shows that the mathod of ultrasonic flow detection with the time difference is feasible. This is not only to provide a new means to the hydraulic system state ,but also makes a good foundation to fault diagnosis.
