Southeast Asia's Landscape

Malaysia is situated in Southeast Asia, with its special geography,its natural culture and history of humanity, in the long river of time,has formed historical and cultural characteristics that different from all other countries in Southeast Asian, trace back to its foundation stone, it has a human character as "diversified development, harmonious co-existence". Malaysia, as the motherland that nurtures my life and nourishes my soul, my body and mind is devoted to it.Therefor, this paper on the basis of the subjects of my majoy, based on the perspective of humanities and liberal arts disciplines– the historical karma, the evolution, and the development of landscape design and religious culture, start with Malaysia's religious culture, made a simple exposition of the ralationship and its development of the traditional arts and the origins of religious culture of Malaysia, which fetched out Malaysia's the essencial association of the idea of traditional art and modern art design. I hope this paper can be a good description of Malaysia's "diversified development, harmonious co-existence" idea as a fundation of its humanistic and cultural characteristics.In Malaysia,the art of landscape design also highlighted the human characteristics: the works of national art design is not just start from aesthetic motives, it often take the driving force from design works of art to the origin of the religion spirit as a main consideration in the process and purpose practical application. And the requirements of aesthetic function is just to meet the secondary desire. In another example, decoration form of practical use is only as a religious symbol and mark,which is associated with Malaysia's history and evolution of the development. The cultural ponder of landscape design in Malaysia's future development and positioning, is facing the strong impact of the world's major ideological tide - that is, find a new vital force under the impact of Western-style landscape design concept which has become a mightness now.The cultural concept of Malaysia is longing for: the harmonious development under the conditions of multi-national culture and multicultural co-existence. And the performance of various art forms were "close over" and "open up" in such conditions, just like the "separation" is as well as the "integration" in the modern design. Different ethnic folk culture and cultural specificity of different geographical nature is a kind of objective existence. All these proved that it is contrary to the truth to take the landscape design concepts of Western culture as the standard as the only ideal standard of world's cultural.Non-model, non-fixed, non-exclusive, multivariate deepen, co-existence, harmonious development and Great Harmony, is the real positive reflects of develop concept of modern design internationalization, is the real sense of Great Harmony of the world's cultural.
