Religious Gardens are important parts of the world garden system. Plant configuration of ReligiousGardens not only relies on common aesthetic principles and configuration techniques, but also ownsstrong religious color and deep religious cultures. Long history of Hangzhou left paragraphs of richreligious garden landscapes witnessed the long history. Through researches on religious plantlandscapes in Hangzhou, summarize and conclude the present situations of the plant landscapes of theReligious Gardens, on the other side, the conceptions and methods on plant landscapes of religiousgardens have successful experiences of modern gardens in cities to go by. Especially the method ofconstructing peace and quiet, refined and graceful religious atmosphere taking advantages of gardenplants, are worth to be learnt by designers, e.g. used in the design of green lands at the intersections inbusy streets. This article takes Religious Gardens in Hangzhou as examples, by means of literatureresearch, cases analyzing, on-the-spot investigations, inductive method, and evaluation, combining plantcommunity theory, theory of plant landscape space forms, as well as landscape aesthetic principles,analyse and evaluate the present situations of plant configuration of Religious Gardens, put forwardadvices on constructing plant landscapes of Religious Gardens, and conclude enlightenments for thedesign of plant landscape of modern gardens from Religious Gardens. This article researched andanalysed plant landscapes of Religious Gardens in Hangzhou, looking forward to supplying some caseson the futher studies of modern Religious Gardens.
