Recently along with the large scale development of the underground space, the seismic problem of the underground structure becomes an important subject to the disaster prevention and reduction research of the urban engineering. In the underground structures, the open cut shallow buried box culvert structure is widely used. However, there is no special standard to refer for the seismic design of the box culvert structure and there is also short of related regulations for the seismic fortification criterion, the analysis method and the safety evaluation. As one kind of the underground structures, the large scale buried box culvert structure exhibit a great similarity with the seismic of the pipeline and so on. However, because its stiffness is much larger than that of the common pipeline, it exhibits a more obvious interaction with the ambient medium than that of the pipeline. Therefore, taking the seismic experience of the underground structures such as the pipeline and the subway tunnel and so on for reference and combining with a practical engineering, I carry on a system seismic computation and analysis for the box culvert. In the project example, the seismic computation in the section where the box culvert system is overhead of the mountain massif is researched and discussed in the chapter 6.The main work of the article is:1,Review the significance of the subject research, the earthquake response characteristics and the main point of the seismic analysis of the water box culvert structure and the seismic response analysis method and the main idea of the box culvert;2,Summarize the dynamic finite element analysis theory and the related problem of the seismic dynamic response analysis of the box culvert;3,Carry on the earthquake motion of ground analysis and work out the ground motion parameter needed in the seismic analysis of structure combined with the practical project;4,Analyze the seismic problem of the cross section of the buried box culvert combining with the parameter of the site analysis. Systematically discuss the main effect factor of the response displacement method, compare it using the finite element method.5,Carry on a further seismic analysis on the vertical tension and compression deformation and the bending deformation of the box culvert and simplified treat with the flexible joints of the structure and analyze the affection of the joint stiffness to the seismic response of the structure.6,Analyze the earthquake response stability of the section where the box culvert system is overhead of the mountain massif.7,Analyze the deficiency of my research in the last chapter and put forward the proposal to the following work.
