Contradiction & Harmony The Attitude Of Contemporary Architecture In Urban Design

As we known, contemporary architecture constitutes the main material entity of the city. "The urban design intention" which is studied in this paper, is to analyze the capability and characteristic of the contemporary architecture influencing the feature and quality of its external urban public space. The specific direction of the study concludes which the contemporary architecture form can reflect: the organization of urban structure, the expression of spatial form, the definition of the interface of the city, the construct of the relation of places.The paper focuses on the study of the typical features of contemporary architecture which are related to urban environment. The examples, which are analyzed in the paper, are most of the architecture works whose form can express their relationship with the city. In modern time, the expression of the forms become richer and more diversified, in the view of architecture, the paper analyses, in the background of the transform of construction theory and constructive skills, the new processing angle and principle when facing the urban relation, which is expressed in contemporary architecture form, and searching for the new conjunction spot of the architecture and city. From the urban angle ,pays great attention to the influence of architecture form "variables", and the important meanings of new urban space form and the experience it brings, which could be owe to the architecture form transform.. In the process of studying contemporary architecture examples which unite urban design theory, there compares with traditional urban design technique, and explores the continuance ,the renewal and the transformation of the urban design technique, when facing contemporary architecture form.There returns the urban designer's attention to the spatial essence under "the prosperity of form", avoids falling into the error which separates planning control and the architecture design. Hope to bring a broader and more diversified perspective and contemporaneity to urban design, and provide reference for today's urban design and architecture create practice.
