With highway construction development, the increasing traffic and traffic load, asphalt pavement durability is considered. Stone matrix asphalt pavement is famous for its excellent durability, but recently there appears lots of problems in popularization and application. The paper studies on several factors' influence on the durability of the mixture. Thus the design for stone matrix asphalt can be optimized reasonably.Penetration,softening point and ductility comparison of pre and post aging asphalt mastic which has different ratio of filler to bitumen and mineral filler types are tested there are analyzed in the paper, ratio of filler to bitumen and mineral filler type has effect on aging resistance of the mixture; Soaking Marshall test,freeze-thaw splitting test and fatigue test are utilized to study on several factors' influence on the moisture susceptibility and fatigue property of the mixture, such as 4.75mm passing rate, the mineral filler content, the type of asphalt and content, air void, and so on. Test results show that the degree of influence of several factors are different. Finally, test road is studied.
