SBS modifier is one of the most promising asphalt modifiers,but it has been improved by many researchers because of its poor compatibility with asphalt and its anti-aging properties.SEBS modifier is one of the improved versions.Due to its good stability,compatibility with asphalt and anti-aging properties,it has been widely studied by researchers and has become a topic of common concern for road researchers.Therefore,this paper studies the use of SEBS modifier in asphalt.In this study,the feasibility of the use of SEBS modifier was analyzed,and the optimum dosage of SEBS modifier and the preparation method of aged asphalt were determined.Then the basic properties,degree of segregation of SEBS modified asphalt mastic,the low temperature performance and the bonding properties were studied.Finally,the high and low temperature properties and water stability properties of the SEBS modified asphalt mixture were verified,and the old performance was evaluated.In the study of this paper,firstly,the preparation of short-term aging and long-term aging asphalt was studied,and the time of simulating asphalt with different aging degrees by oven aging was determined.Then,by testing the basic performance test of asphalt,such as softening point,ductility,penetration and elastic recovery ability of different amounts of SEBS modified asphalt,the optimum dosage of SEBS modifier was determined.Furthermore,the performance of SEBS modified asphalt mastic,SBS modified asphalt mastic and matrix asphalt mastic was evaluated.Thesoftening point test,the ductility test,the penetration test,the segregation test,the trabecular bending test,and the bond strength test of different degrees of aging of the asphalt are performed.The road performance of SEBS modified asphalt mastic was evaluated based on the conventional performance index,storage stability performance index,bending failure strength and strain performance index and bonding performance index of the asphalt mastic.The rutting test and Marshall stability test are used to evaluate the difference of high temperature stability before and after aging of asphalt mixture.The low temperature cracking test and low temperature trabecular bending test are used to evaluate the difference of low temperature crack resistance before and after aging of asphalt mixture.The split test and the water immersion Marshall test were used to evaluate the difference in water stability before and after aging of the asphalt mixture.From the test results,it can be found that the use of SEBS modifier can effectively improve the working performance of asphalt mastic and asphalt mixture.And it can effectively delay the influence of aging on the road performance of asphalt mastic and asphalt mixture,and it is a modified asphalt with good performance.
