This article discusses the non-uniform distribution of temperature on the concrete-filled steel tubular arch bridge's cross-section and the vertical temperature distribution along the arch, which located in natural environment, impacted by environmental factors (especially by the radiation of the sun).On this basis, the self-stress calculation of the cross-section which caused by non-uniform temperature distribution and the effect calculation of the arch which caused by elevated temperature and lower temperature are carried out.At first, it gives the theoretical formula for the temperature which based on the basic principles of heat transfer calculation, and then gives the analytical method of calculating the temperature field in concrete-filled steel tube arch cross-section which based on the existing method of calculating the surface of the arch cross-section analysis of the heat flux calculation; at last, it gives the numerical solution of temperature field which based on the finite element method.On the basis of the experiment about CFST structure, the feasibility of the calculation method has been verified. Then apply this calculation method to the real CFST Bridge, the Pedestrian Bridge in Chang'an University, which is a half-through Basket-Style CFST arch bridge. The surface temperature of the arch's specific section is measured under the representative weather conditions. The temperature field of the cross-section is calculated based on the measured results of the arch section and the method above. Then the non-uniform temperature distribution of the Arch-specific section can be obtained. With the non-uniform temperature distribution of the arch, it calculates the self-stress of the arch special cross-section which caused by the non-uniform temperature distribution and the effect of the arch which caused by the uniform warming and cooling. It verifies the temperature drop is a negative load, and the effect caused by the temperature drop is close to that caused by the dead load. According to the measured results, the temperature distribution along the arch is also non-uniform for the half-cross CFST arch bridge. The temperature of the cross-section near the bridge deck is 5 degrees higher than that of Vault, and 10 degrees lower than that of arch foot.The conclusion of this paper has reference value and can be a guiding role to the calculation of temperature field and effect of the arch based on CFST arch bridges.
