It is a big technical innovation that anchor is used in the engineering, which not only make a lot of projects get started, even there are many harsh difficulties, but also bring great benefits to our life. Anchor is firstly used in the rock, we call it rock anchor. Soil anchor comes to be used in the engineering with the need of production development, technical innovation and becoming mature. Its application brings us great economic benefits.As is known to all, soil is a kind of loose medium, when it receives external force, there would be a big plastic deformation. Among the great majority projects, it is not allowed to have larger displacement, so this is the bottleneck of the anchor in the technical development. With the large-scale application of soil anchor in the engineering, it is very interested to study the diseases, and very important in the application.Firstly, this paper presents a series of problems of the soil anchor application. Then the author of this paper takes an investigation of common diseases of the soil anchor and their impact factors of the diseases. This paper comes to a conclusion that water is the main factors of the common diseases of the soil anchor. And divide the adverse effects of the water to the soil anchor into two kinds: Corrosion and softening.Combined with soil anchor anti-tensile model test, this paper reveals one kind of soil anchor diseases which is caused by water: softening. When water entered in the soil, it increases the water content of soil, softens the soil, lowering the anti-tensile of soil anchor. Through the analysis to the drawing force and the corresponding strain, anchor displacement, the soil moisture around anchor data, the author finds the adverse effect of the soil anchor caused by the water. According to the conclusion of the soil anchor anti-tensile model test, the author fits out an equation between anti-tensile of the anchor and the soil moisture around the anchor.Finally the author raises the measures to avoid the common diseases of the soil anchor.
