As propulsion system of Super-high-speed torpedo, water ramjet engine with high performance leads the way of future hypersonic submarine propulsion system's development. Combustion efficiency and propulsive efficiency which mainly influence the performance of engine, have relations with process of organizing combustion. As a result, the process of organizing combustion is important to realize the best performance of water ramjet engine. In this dissertation, the factors which have effect on combustion are studied by the method of numerical simulation and direct-connect experiments roundly and systematically.On the basis of predigest the process of fluxion in the engine with reason, numerical model is developed for column-style propellant water ramjet engine. In this mode, the influence of two-phase turbulent flow, chemic reaction in gas, atomizer model and spray model is considered. Research on the process of organizing combustion in water ramjet engine by way of numerical simulation, and the results which are accordance with academic analysis show the simulating mode and methods established in this article is correct.The influence of total water-fuel rations, once and twice water-fuel rations, angle, position, the diameter of the atomization droplet work on process of combustion in column-style propellant water ramjet engine has been studied by the method of numerical simulation. A series of practical conclusions which are propitious to realize best performance of water ramjet engine are gained.Rebuild the intrinsic system for water ramjet experiment. A series of contrast tests on significant factors which affect combustion are carried out. The results of those experiments are identical to numerical simulation. Accordingly, the numerical model that is built in this dissertation is accurate. Furthermore, test on the influence of metal content of propellant to the performance of water ramjet engine is carried out.
